2011 DNR Sponsored Snowmobile Safety Class

Mark your calendars now for the snowmobile safety course being held Saturdays December 3rd & 10th-8am till Noon. Both days required to become certified!

Held inside the Kewaskum Municipal Annex building 1308 Fond du lac ave, just north of Hwy 28 & Hwy 45 intersection downtown. Call Craig @ 262-343-0859 to get on the sign up list, registration is 7am-8am on Dec.3rd. You must have a parent come in and sign the paperwork to register!

Cost is $10. Bring your own snacks, pen/pencil and warm clothing for some outside instruction. Water & restrooms inside.

Prior to Enrolling in a Safety Class you must obtain a DNR Customer ID#. This nine-digit number must be assigned to you by the DNR. Please go to DNR and search for "snowmobile safety" Any person who is at least 12 years old and who is born on or after Janu­ary 1, 1985 is required to possess a valid Snowmobile Safety Certificate in order to operate a snowmobile on public trails, lands or frozen waters. You must carry the certificate while riding and you must display it to a law enforcement officer when requested. All snowmobilers under age 16 must obtain certification in a classroom certification course. Internet certification is only available to persons 16 years of age and up, or may take the classroom.
