October 2011 Newsletter
Our meeting is this Sunday @ 6pm. Ya know- cuz of a Packers game.
The Bingo fundraiser is coming up on Wed Oct. 12, if you have not been around, then expect a call soon as club member participation is needed. Please volunteer and be there anytime after 5pm. You will be put to work and please stay as long as you like.
The annual trail brushing day is Saturday Nov.5 at the Tucker shed. Be there before 9am with your own supplies/atv's. This is at Tom Williams property on Sandy Ridge road just north of Hwy H, near Dairyland seed.
The tucker is in many, many pieces as a few guys are involved in the first rebuild of the four track drive assemblies, so far they are on schedule.
Any guys that are handy with wood, please come to meeting and sign on the bridge crew, we have two bridges that will need minor repairs and possible that we can whittle them off in a Saturday or Sunday soon.
Washington county assn had a meeting two weeks ago and checks for clubs grooming expenses of last season were handed out. But to our dismay, these are only partial payments. The state only gave out monies for non-grooming expenses. This check is for $3717.00. The grooming monies were rolled into the supplemental funds and those monies will not be sent to counties any sooner than Dec.1st. We probably won't see that check until end of January,2012. They appear to be paying approx 75% of claimed amount which may give us a reimbursement around $3-$6000, but will have to wait and see. This is why we must continue with the BINGO fundraisers .
AWSC Fall workshop is on Nov. 4,5,6. All club members are welcome, come to meeting for details or visit their website AWSC
